Howard County Fair Showcases Top Talent in Poultry, Rabbits, and Cattle

The Howard County Fair has concluded with a flurry of impressive results across its various animal shows. From rabbits and poultry to cattle, the competition was fierce and the talents of the participants shone brightly. In the Rabbit Show, Anna Kate McKinnon excelled in Senior Showmanship, while Claire Myers and Sawyer Young claimed top spots in Junior and Beginner Showmanship, respectively.

In the rabbit categories, Anita Faye Kinnu’s rabbit was named Grand Champion, with Ally Sayre receiving Best Opposite. In the showmanship rankings, Ace McKinnon and Anna Kate McKinnon both earned Blue Ribbons in their respective classes. The Poultry Show saw Guy Cooper Kroll take the title of Grand Champion Poultry Chain, with Connor Bagley securing Reserve Champion. Ava Harr dominated the Fancy Chicken category, achieving both Grand Champion and Reserve Champion titles.

In the cattle competitions, Avery Morris was a standout performer, claiming Supreme Heifer, Grand Champion County Bred Heifer, Grand Champion Commercial Heifer, and several other top honors. Everleigh Hilliard and Colton Robbins also made notable appearances, with Robbins earning Supreme Bull for his Beefmaster and Hilliard taking Reserve Champion titles in various categories. The showmanship awards were well-distributed among the top contenders, with Avery Morris and Ava Harr leading in Senior and Junior Showmanship, and Everleigh Hilliard shining in the Beginner category.

For those interested in the fair’s creative side, the Hay Bale Decorating contest saw Weyerhaeuser Dierks take first place, followed by Nashville ABC in second, and the Pediatric Therapy Center in third.
