Howard County fair starts with a parade on Monday

The Howard County Fair starts next week and the week long event kicks off Monday, Sept. 5 with a parade on Main Street in Nashville beginning at 5 pm. Livestock shows begin on Tuesday with sheep at 4 p.m. and goats at six. Wednesday will see the swine show at 9 a.m. and cattle at 4. Rabbits and poultry will be shown on Thursday at 9 a.m. That night will also include the Livestock Beauty Pageant and the Old Timers Show at 6 p.m. The premium sale will be held Friday at 11 a.m.

The Howard County Fair will again include a carnival Wednesday through Saturday from 6-10 p.m. each evening. $25 will get visitors unlimited rides.

Bull riding will be held on Saturday, Sept. 10 at 8 p.m. Ages five and under get in for free. Cost of entry for those six and up is $10. Live music will be held nightly at 6 p.m.
