Howard County Farm Bureau Highlights Mission and Programs at Rotary Meeting

Last week, Michael Howard with the Howard County Farm Bureau spoke to the Nashville Rotary Club about the Arkansas Farm Bureau Federation.

Howard began by explaining what the Howard County Farm Bureau Federation is and the role it plays in the community.

He then discussed the federation’s key priorities and how they support agriculture across the state.

Howard also noted that Farm Bureau is a major sponsor of the M.A.S.H. Program, which allows students to shadow medical professionals and determine whether a career in the medical field is right for them after graduation.

Howard added that the 2026 Arkansas Farm Family of the Year was selected from Howard County.

He said one of his favorite benefits of Farm Bureau membership—available for just $40 a year—is the car-seat program. Howard explained that he and fellow agent Hanna Clements keep car seats at the office so they are available when foster families need one at the last minute.

Howard concluded by saying Farm Bureau represents the people, the purpose, and the voice of agriculture.
