Howard County Historical Society Open House to Spotlight Local Legends – Part Two

As the Howard County Historical Society prepares for their special Open House event featuring the new exhibit “Business to Baseball… Born in Howard County,” we continue our conversation with Susan Nannemann, Vice President and Curator, and Tim Pinkerton, Treasurer and Financial Records Officer.
In part two of our interview, Nannemann highlighted some of the extraordinary individuals featured in the exhibit — all born right here in Howard County and later making their mark on the national stage.
She went on to share stories of individuals who made significant contributions in the fields of science and art, further demonstrating the diverse talent that has come out of the area.
Among the notable names mentioned was Jimmy Wakely, a Hollywood actor and country music singer, who also proudly hailed from Howard County.
As the interview wrapped up, Nannemann extended an invitation to the public to attend the upcoming Open House and discover more about these local legends.
The Open House will be held on Thursday, October 23, from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Howard County Museum, located at 200 West Hempstead in Nashville.
