Howard County Historical Society Prepares for Open House Featuring New Exhibit

The Howard County Historical Society is inviting the public to a special Open House event showcasing a brand-new exhibit titled “Business to Baseball… Born in Howard County.”
KMTB and KNAS had the opportunity to speak with Susan Nannemann, Vice President and Curator of the Historical Society, and Tim Pinkerton, Treasurer and Financial Records Officer, about the upcoming event.
Nannemann began by introducing the new exhibit and what visitors can expect.
She also shared that last fall, the museum hosted an intern, Hannah Sherman, who helped contribute to the historical work being done at the museum.
In addition to the new exhibit, Nannemann discussed the E.A. Williams Chapel Museum and other historic landmarks in Howard County.
She also spoke about the purpose behind this exhibit and why it’s important to recognize local individuals who have achieved national success.
Stay tuned for part two of our interview, where Nannemann will highlight some of the extraordinary individuals featured in the exhibit — all of whom were born in Howard County and went on to leave their mark across the country.
The Open House will take place on Thursday, October 23, from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Howard County Museum, located at 200 West Hempstead in Nashville.
