Howard County Historical Society Preparing for Pack the Park Car Show

The Howard County Historical Society is getting ready for an upcoming community event that will bring classic and vintage vehicles to the area.

The Pack the Park Car Show is scheduled for September 12th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will be open to the public.

Recently, we spoke with Howard County Historical Society Board Member Jason Horn, who is a new member of the board. Horn talked about how he became involved with the Historical Society and was nominated to serve on the board.

Horn says the members of the Historical Society share a common goal of preserving Howard County’s history, with everyone playing a role.

That same spirit of community will be on display at the Pack the Park Car Show. Horn talked about the event and what people can expect on September 12th.

Car participants will pay a $25 entry fee, while admission is free for spectators. Horn says many of the participants have extensive knowledge of cars and have spent years building and preserving their vintage vehicles.

Horn also discussed how the event will benefit the Historical Society, thanking the community and donors for their generosity. He also talked about the organization’s work with grant writing and highlighted O’Reilly Auto Parts as the event’s main sponsor.

And the Pack the Park Car Show isn’t the only event on the Historical Society’s calendar. Horn also announced several upcoming activities planned for October.

The Pack the Park Car Show will take place September 12th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m at the Nashville City Park. Admission is free to the public, with proceeds helping support the work of the Howard County Historical Society.
