Howard County Jail inmate charged with escape

An inmate at the Howard County Detention Facility is facing escape charges. Prosecutors say 29 year old Dalton Ray Jordan of Nashville was detained at the facility last month, when jailers noticed he was missing from his cell. Deputies and officers were contacted and found Jordan in another cell that he was unauthorized to be in. Police questioned Jordan about the escape, and Jordan said he pieced together some items from his cell and was able to open the lock.
In addition to his previous charges, Jordan is now charged with Furnishing a Prohibited Article and with 3rd Degree Escape.
