Howard County Jailer Arrested

A jailer for the Howard County Sheriff’s Department has been arrested on felony charges. Sheriff Bryan McJunkins said 22 year old William Mann was arrested Wednesday night for allegedly furnishing prohibited articles to at least one inmate being detained at the local jail.  He was also allegedly involved in a sexual relationship while working at the jail and has been charged with 3rd degree sexual assault of a female inmate.  Mann was transported to the Sevier County Jail following his arrest.  His bond has been set at ten thousand dollars.   Mann had been employed with the sheriff’s department since September.
