Howard County Judge Provides Update on County Road Projects and Funding

Earlier this week, we spoke with Howard County Judge Brent Pinkerton, who provided an update on several projects the county has been working on, including recent paving and road improvements.

Pinkerton began by discussing the completion of the county’s paving projects. He explained the total cost of the work and the funding sources used to pay for the improvements.

In addition to the paving project that has been completed, Pinkerton said the county also contracted for asphalt work this year to improve several culvert crossings.

He discussed the purpose of those repairs and the total cost of the additional work.

Pinkerton also discussed state funding available through the Arkansas Department of Transportation, or ARDOT, and the state’s aid program for county road projects.
