Howard County Leads State In Rabies Numbers

Howard County is leading the state in the number of rabies cases that have been reported so far in 2020.

According to the latest numbers from the health department, there have been ten cases of rabies in Arkansas this year. Three of those 10 are in Howard County. The three local cases include one dog and two skunks.

No other county has reported more than one case of rabies.

The statewide breakdown includes four skunks, three bats, two dogs and one cat.
