Howard County Master Gardeners Prepare for Annual Fall Plant Sale

The Howard County Master Gardeners are preparing for their annual Fall Plant Sale, offering residents an opportunity to purchase locally grown plants while supporting local organizations and businesses.
Denise Graves of the Howard County Master Gardeners recently discussed the upcoming sale and the work of the organization. Graves said the Master Gardener program includes 3,599 volunteers across 65 counties in Arkansas.
This year’s sale will also feature participation from local nursery Sunshine Acres. The nursery has been invited to “share the hometown feeling” and will offer mums, pumpkins, pansies and other fall garden plants.
The Howard County Master Gardeners will begin selling some of their locally grown plants on October 9. The sale will be held on the lot at Diamond Bank and will continue through October 20 on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Graves also discussed vintage tractors that have been donated for the event, adding another attraction for visitors attending the sale.
In addition to the plant sale, Graves highlighted some of the work the Howard County Master Gardeners have done throughout the community.
Graves also provided shoppers with the days and hours of operation for the Fall Plant Sale, giving residents the opportunity to plan their visit.
The Howard County Master Gardeners are encouraging area residents to come out, shop locally and support the participating businesses and organizations while finding plants and decorations for the fall season.
