Howard County Quorum Court Meeting

Monday, during the Howard County Quorum Court regular monthly meeting, Justices of the Peace passed an ordinance to keep the county millages the same. According to Treasurer Sherri Mixon’s report sales tax was up for the month of October. Mixon also reported that County General brought in $30,602.94 for the month of October, which was an increase from last month.

Howard County Judge Brent Pinkerton informed JPs that the motor went out on the elevator at the courthouse and that it needed repairing. Pinkerton presented a bid by OTIS Elevator in the amount of $20,715.05. There was a motion made by D’Ann White and seconded by Don Marks to accept the bid by OTIS Elevator and pay it out of the unappropriated funds.
