Howard County Quorum Court Meets For February Session
The Howard County Quorum Court approved a pair of resolutions Monday to help obtain funding for local projects.
One of the resolutions will allow the North Howard Rural Water Association to seek an Arkansas Economic Development grant to repair major leaks in the system’s lines.
The other resolution will help the Howard County Fair Board begin the process of supplying the fair exhibits building with air conditioning. The initial phase of funding, in the amount of four thousand dollars, will be used to add and upgrade insulation in the main exhibit building.
J.p.s were also informed that, due to a clerical error by Little River county officials, Howard county hasn’t been billed in the last several years on their portion of funding for Circuit Judge Tom Cooper’s office. It’s estimated Howard County will owe around 10 to 15 thousand dollars.
