Howard County Records Additional COVID Deaths
The COVID-19 death count for Howard County increased by three over the Labor Day Weekend. Monday’s information from the Arkansas Department of Health reported the county now has 8 deaths attributed to the Caronavirus. In Arkansas, state officials say someone is listed as dying from COVID-19 when the death is the direct result from the virus, or the virus is listed as a contributing factor in the person’s death. The cumulative number of positive cases now stands at 437. There are 398 recoveries, 31 active cases, and 3 thousand 265 negative test results.
Among neighboring counties, Hempstead County is reporting 4 active cases, Pike County has 9, there’s 16 each in Polk and Sevier counties, and 27 cases currently in Little River County, which also has the highest death count in this area, at 17.
