Howard County Sheriff presents follow-up on jail project to JPs

Last week, KMTB and KNAS took a moment to speak with Howard County Sheriff Bryan McJunkins about the Howard County Justices of the Peace voting decision during their regular monthly meeting. Sheriff McJunkins along with Howard County Judge Brent Pinkerton presented a follow up on the expansion project of the Howard County Jail.

McJunkins talked about the plans of getting started with the project along with a rough draft of a floor plan.

McJunkins said he’s very proud the JPs of Howard finally gave the ok towards the jail project and he mentioned the benefits of this expansion project.

McJunkins said if they decide to go with South Bill Organization, they are looking to start anywhere from 8 to 18 months.
