Howard County’s Economic Director guest speaker at Nashville Rotary
The economic development director for Howard County, Vanessa Weeks was the guest speaker at the weekly meeting of the Nashville Rotary Club on Wednesday.
Weeks reported Developing Howard County has been incorporated by the state and she is currently working on opening a checking account. She is also working on the 401-C3 – non-profit status paperwork.
Weeks mentioned Developing Howard County will be working on a community survey in the near future to help determine what the residents of Howard County consider important. She said the survey will take up to 8-months to complete.
Weeks said she is also working with the cities of Mineral Springs and Dierks to get help with the development of their city parks.
Weeks informed the Rotarians that she has already received a RFI, which is a return for information from the Arkansas Economic Development Commission.
Weeks was not able to share specific information with the Nashville Rotary Club due to non-disclosure agreements that she has signed.
