Howard Memorial & Ferguson Healthcare Among Those Awarded by Blue Cross

The Arkansas BlueCross announced $5.6 million would be awarded to primary care providers in the state of Arkansas who have participated in a program which aims to improve clinical effectiveness.

The Comprehensive Primary Care Plus program is providing this financial award to 330 participating clinics, representing 1,529 healthcare providers, which have tested ideas that advance patient care, improve outcomes and reduce low-value care. Each clinic awarded met or exceeded the quality measure targets by focusing on meeting the patient’s needs during a pandemic, reducing avoidable hospital admissions and readmissions, quality of care, and total cost of care.

Having met these categories is none other than our very own Howard Memorial Hospital Medical Clinic and Ferguson Health Care.

This pandemic has certainly tested all of us but for those in the medical field and on the front lines it has forced growth. I’m thankful to live in a community in which medical facilities go above and beyond to ensure proper care of its patients.
