Howard Memorial Hospital Board Approves June Financial Report, CRNA Appointment

The Howard Memorial Hospital Board of Directors met for their regular monthly meeting with all members present except Tem Gunter.

Chief Financial Officer Bill Craig presented the hospital’s financial report for June, reporting 35.8 days in accounts receivable, which is below the hospital’s target of less than 45 days. Hospital cash receipts for the month totaled $2,783,259, exceeding the monthly cash collection goal of $2.2 million.

Craig also reported that collectible revenue from patient services was $133,956 above budget, while the hospital’s emergency department recorded 784 visits, 109 more than budgeted. Operating costs were $200,750 above budget, while other expenses came in $26,549 below budget.

Following discussion, the board unanimously approved the financial report.

In other business, the board approved the medical staff recommendation presented by Dr. Carla Pumphrey, granting privileges to Jim Taylor Loggins, CRNA.
