Interim Superintendent updates Mineral Springs School Board on salary schedule

On Wednesday, the Mineral Springs School Board held a special meeting. 
Interim Superintendent JonDavid Amerson briefed the board on updates to the salary schedule, including a new adjustment from the last meeting and the addition of a principal stipend. He also announced Stacy Gaddis’s move to the Assistant Principal position, expressing confidence in her abilities. The board, with a motion by Dorothy Vaughn and a second by Xavier Vaughn, unanimously approved the revised Salary Schedule.

Furthermore, Amerson proposed a resolution for his appointment as the board’s representative on the DeQueen Mena Education Service Cooperative Board of Directors. This resolution, moved by Mike Erwin and seconded by Dorothy Vaughn, received unanimous support.

Following this, the board entered an executive session with school attorney Cody Kees. Upon returning, President William Dixon initiated a motion to approve the separation agreement with former Superintendent Billy Lee, which the board unanimously accepted.
