Junior Scrappers Dominate Genoa Central in Season Opener, 46–0

The Nashville Junior Scrappers opened their 2025 football season in dominant fashion Thursday night, shutting out the Genoa Central Junior Dragons with a commanding 46–0 victory.

Genoa Central won the coin toss and elected to receive, but an early fumble recovery by the Scrappers quickly shifted momentum. Running Back Jakari Starr wasted no time putting points on the board, scoring the first touchdown of the game. The extra point attempt was no good, giving Nashville an early 6–0 lead.

Moments later, Zee Beasley electrified the field with a 70-yard touchdown run, and the kick was good, extending the lead 13–0.

Beasley would strike again before the first quarter ended, this time on a 41-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Mack Arnold. Adrian Perez nailed the extra point to make it 20–0.

The Scrappers continued to pile on in the second quarter. Starr added his second touchdown of the night, with another successful kick pushing the score 27–0. Just before halftime, Al Green found the end zone to stretch the lead 33–0, though the kick was no good.

Nashville didn’t let up after the break. Quarter Back, Mack Arnold showcased his dual-threat ability with a 60-yard touchdown run.

And Curry capped off the scoring with the final touchdown of the game.

The Scrapper defense held strong throughout, keeping the Junior Dragons scoreless and sealing a 46–0 shutout.

The Junior Scrappers return to action this week against the Magnolia Junior Panthers, looking to build on the momentum of their dominant season opener. Kickoff is set for 7pm and B99.5 will have the live coverage.
