Juvenile Arrested After Threatening Incident at Texarkana Airport
TEXARKANA, Ark. – A juvenile was arrested at the Texarkana Regional Airport yesterday morning after allegedly threatening staff at Signature Aviation with firearms.
According to police records, at approximately 7:35 a.m. on February 4th, 2025, 911 dispatch received a call reporting a disturbance at Signature Aviation, located at 601 Airport Drive. According to call notes, a male suspect entered the business, approached the front counter, and demanded a plane while brandishing both a rifle and a handgun.
A witness reportedly fled the scene and alerted others, prompting the suspect to exit the building. In a turn of events, a local pilot for a private business retrieved his own firearm from his vehicle and confronted the suspect, ordering him to the ground. The suspect complied and was disarmed.
Officers with the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department (TAPD) arrived shortly afterward and took the suspect, later identified as a juvenile, into custody. The juvenile has been charged with aggravated assault, attempted aggravated robbery, and first-degree terroristic threatening.
The suspect was transferred to an Arkansas juvenile detention center.
