K9 unit tracks sexual assault suspect into wooded area

An investigation into a reported sexual assault Wednesday, led to the arrest of a Nashville man.  Deputies and investigators with the Howard County Sheriff’s Department responded to the call at a residence on Muddy Fork Road.  The female victim identified 26 year old Curtis Callaway as a suspect and said he left the area on foot.  While deputies were on the scene, they said Callaway began sending numerous text messages to the victim, indicating he was planning to commit suicide.

Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Wildlife Officer Keith Teague and his K-9 partner, Tucker, assisted deputies in the search for Callaway.  The dog was able to track Callaway to a wooded area, where he was arrested without incident.
