Law enforcement agencies located and destroyed 400 marijuana plants in Howard County

Several law enforcement agencies have been in northern Howard County this week working on a marijuana eradication effort. Howard County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Joey Davis said a private citizen noticed some of the plants and reported it to the sheriff’s department. Officers with the sheriff’s department, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, Arkansas State Police, and the 9th West Judicial District Drug Task Force located and destroyed the plants.

Deputy Davis said 400 marijuana plants were found in several smaller plots. All were located near Gillham Lake.
