Legacy Celebrates its Second Homecoming in Style

Legacy Academy’s second ever Homecoming on Friday evening was a great success. Homecoming Queen was senior Dori Bartek, and the Homecoming court was senior maid Trinity Cox, junior maids Maddie Lowrey and Jenifer Smallwood, sophomore maids Oaklee Lofton and Rayne McDonald, and freshmen maids Skylar Alexander, Josie Martz and Lilly Tucker. Each of them was accompanied by her father or a father figure in their lives. The day was a celebration of inner beauty, which comes from God, and a wonderful day for our girls and their moms to spend together.

The day started with them considering what it means to display their inner beauty and God’s love for each of them. This was followed by a special time with their mothers, who shared heartfelt messages with each of them, before they enjoyed a beautiful lunch put together by all of the moms.

The afternoon was spent preparing their hair and make-up prep for the showpiece event. The nine ladies walked onto the court with their escorts and were introduced to the audience. Their hopes for the future, favorite scripture, and best school memories were all shared, which reflected the personality, character and values of each lady in our court.

Our ladies then enjoyed a great evening watching basketball games against Umpire and Bloomburg, with all three Legacy teams victorious on court. It was an excellent day celebrating our values and the Homecoming team did a great job putting the day together.
