Legacy takes 3 out of 4 from Eagletown

Lockesburg, AR–It was a night of young ball players on the court in Lockeburg Monday. Legacy Academy’s 5/6 girls, 5/6 boys, along with junior boys and junior girls teams hosted Eagletown. Legacy won three out of the four contests. It was the first game of the year for the younger home teams. Legacy’s Junior Boys team defeated the Eagles 44-28. Layne Schroer was the high scorer with 12 points and grabbed an impressive 20 rebounds. Everrette Martz scored 9 points, followed by Manolo Vasquez with 7.
Legacy’s junior girls also captured a victory with a 46-33 win over the Lady Eagles. Oaklee Lofton scored 21 points, followed by Hannah Mae Morris with 11. The home team also had an impressive night rebounding with Morris, Lilly Tucker, Josie Martz, and Jesse Martz all getting five rebounds each, while Lofton and Skylar Alexander each got 4 apiece.
Eagletown won the Pee Wee girls game 19-7 with an impressive offensive effort. For the Lockesburg team Jesse Martz scored 4, while Libbie Bartek and Olivia Lofton also contributed points.
Legacy’s younger boys won their game 23-17 with Silas Lofton scoring 10 points, followed by Jude Gallagher with 9. Jed Schroer and Gabe Grubbs also put a bucket each up for the Lil Warriors.
Legacy’s junior and senior high teams play Tuesday night in Camden against Victory Christian and again at home Friday night verses Valley Christian.
