LIHEAP Program starts today for low income families in Arkansas
The Central Arkansas Development Council’s 2023 LIHEAP program starts today July 10. The program assists with paying utilities and will also provide crisis assistance.
LIHEAP, or Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, uses federal funds dispersed by CADC to reduce the risk of health and safety problems from inappropriate cooling methods and the program will remain in place as funds remain available.
Program Supervisor Victoria Bradley who works out of the Hope location for CADC talked about the meaning of the CADC Program along with what utilities will be paid through the LIHEAP program.
Bradley also provided information on where residents of Howard, Pike, and Hempstead counties can apply.
Bradley even mentioned what other programs CADC offers.
Bradley talked about what inspired her to want to work for CADC.
