Local Communities Gear Up for Easter Festivities This Saturday

With Easter right around the corner, communities across the region are getting ready to host a variety of family-friendly events this Saturday, April 19th.

In Mineral Springs, preparations are underway for the city’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt, scheduled from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Mineral Springs City Park. KMTB and KNAS sat down with City Treasurer Denise Juniel, who shared what attendees can expect.

Juniel extended a warm invitation to families across the area, encouraging everyone to come out for a day full of excitement and community spirit.

This year’s event will also include special recognition for key sponsors who helped make it all possible. Juniel acknowledged the support of the Department of Heritage and Tourism and Diamond Bank, emphasizing the importance of their contributions to the community.

In addition to the festivities, Juniel provided an update on recent enhancements made to Mineral Springs City Park.

Meanwhile, just down the road, Springs of Minecreek will host their own celebration, called the Eggstravahanza, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 1407 N Main Street. The event promises a packed afternoon of fun, including a Bounce House, Train Rides, Cotton Candy, Face Painting, Hot Dogs, and of course, an Easter Egg Hunt. For more information, attendees can call 870-845-2021.

And over in Hope, the New Hope Volunteer Fire Department is inviting families to their Easter Egg Hunt, also happening on Saturday at 2pm, at 308 E 2nd St. The Easter Bunny will be making a special appearance for photos with children, making it a perfect stop for some springtime memories.

From egg hunts to family fun, there’s no shortage of ways to celebrate Easter across the region this weekend. Be sure to bring your baskets—and your cameras!
