Local Housing Authorities Receive CARES Money

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has announced 4.7 million dollars is being given in support of public housing around the state.

Agencies in our listening area receiving funds will include 63 thousand 736 dollars to the Howard County Housing Authority and 13 thousand 358 dollars will be utilized by the Pike County Housing Authority.

The funding will come through the federal CARES Act to be used by the public housing authorities to support the prevention, preparation and response to the COVID-19 health emergency.
