Local Man Arrested On Rape Charges

A Nashville man has been arrested on rape charges.

25 year old Henry Vasquez Rodriguez was detained Wednesday morning following an investigation that began in connection with a reported missing juvenile female.

Investigator Tim Bowlin said parents reported their 12 year old daughter missing.

The juvenile returned home shortly after the initial report was made and police questioned the female. Authorities say the girl told them she had been with Rodriguez and the two had sexual relations.

Rodriguez was located and interviewed. He also admitted to having sexual relations with the 12 year old victim.

Rodriguez was arrested and is being held in the Howard County Jail on $50,000 bond. He made a first court appearance Wednesday in Howard County Circuit Court and is expected back in court during early June once formal charges have been filed.
