Local Man Charged With Criminal Mischief

A Nashville man is facing felony charges for an incident that happened last month.  Authorities say 44 year old Allen Markcum is charged with one count of Second Degree Criminal Mischief for allegedly causing more than 5600 dollars in property damage.  Police say Markcum is accused of driving south on Second Street in an S.U.V when he stopped and put the vehicle in reverse and sped backwards striking a 2005 Nissan on the passenger side.  The  force of the collision caused the Nissan to be knocked into the side of a residence.
