Local Man Facing Weapons Possession Charges

Weapons possession charges have been filed against a Nashville man.

36 year old Michael Waterbury was arrested following a recent vehicle pursuit by local authorities. Police say Waterbury was a passenger in the vehicle they were attempting to stop.

Upon conclusion of the pursuit, authorities say they recovered a rifle from the vehicle. Waterbury told officers the weapon belonged to him. He was arrested at the scene and transferred to the Howard County Jail.

Waterbury’s bond was set at 25 hundred dollars. He has made a first court appearance on the charges and is expected back in circuit court July 15th.
