A Lockesburg man was arrested last week after allegedly trespassing on his neighbors’ property and then threatening to kill their children.
According to the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was dispatched to a residence on Highway 234 in Lockesburg on Aug. 18 in reference to a trespassing complaint. Upon arriving the deputy spoke to the complainants, who stated their neighbor had trespassed onto their poultry farm several times that day. Camera footage showed a suspect later identified as 44-year-old Christopher Bailey trespassing on the property.
The property owners stated that Bailey had threatened to kill their children when he was confronted about the trespassing incident. That exchange was reportedly caught on a celllphone video and provided to the investigating deputy.
Bailey was located at this property and allegedly admitted to both the trespassing and threat. He was then arrested for the offenses of terroristic threatening and criminal trespass.
