Lockesburg Man Arrested on Felony Drug Charges
SEVIER COUNTY – A Lockesburg man was arrested over the weekend on felony drug possession charges following an incident on December 7.
According to the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was called to assist an Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC) Wildlife Officer on Old Dierks Highway. The wildlife officer reported that while patrolling the area, he observed 44-year-old Adam Michael Hill of Lockesburg spotlighting a field that was populated with wildlife.
Upon making contact with Hill, the wildlife officer claimed to detect a strong odor of marijuana coming from Hill’s vehicle, which led to a probable cause search. During the search, the officer allegedly found marijuana, a substance believed to be methamphetamine, and a glass smoking pipe. Several firearms were also reportedly discovered in Hill’s vehicle.
Hill was arrested and transported to the Sevier County Jail, where he was charged with a felony count of possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine.
The investigation is ongoing, and Hill is awaiting further legal proceedings.
