Lockesburg woman convicted of Negligent Homicide with a vehicle

A Lockesburg woman charged in connection with a fatal accident that happened in October 2020, has been sentenced to prison this week in Howard County Circuit Court.  35 year old Brandi Turner was sentenced to 10 years each on charges of Negligent Homicide with a vehicle and for Second Degree Battery with a vehicle.  The sentences will be served concurrently.

58 year old Tony Ray Young of Mineral Springs, was the driver in a vehicle that was struck by Turner’s vehicle as it crossed the center line of Highway 27 near Mineral Springs.  Young died from his injuries.  A passenger in Young’s vehicle and the driver of a second vehicle struck by Turner, were both injured in the accident.
