Lucky Clover Showdown Jackpot Show Set for July 11 at Howard County Fairgrounds

The excitement is building in Howard County as local 4-H members prepare for the Lucky Clover Showdown Jackpot Show, set to kick off tomorrow, July 11th, at the Howard County Fairgrounds.

Yesterday, we had the chance to catch up with some of the young exhibitors participating in the event – Asher Howard, sisters Lily and Emmie Trombley – as well as 4-H leader Samantha Horn.

Asher Howard gave us a preview of what attendees can expect at this year’s event.

Howard also shared the clubs he’s involved in and the types of livestock he plans to show during the weekend competition.

Lily Trombley talked about the clubs she and her sister Emmie are a part of, and gave some insight into the banners and prizes that will be awarded to the overall grand and reserve champions in each livestock category.

She also described the Simmental cattle she’ll be exhibiting in the ring.

Entry fees are $25 per head for market animals and $15 per head for dairy animals. Pens will be available on a first come, first served basis, so participants are encouraged to arrive early.

4-H leader Samantha Horn highlighted where the proceeds from the event will go, underscoring the community-focused nature of the show.

Horn also extended an invitation to the public and shared how many exhibitors are expected to participate.

The Lucky Clover Showdown Jackpot Show will be held at the Howard County Fairgrounds, located at 1565 US 371 in Nashville. For more information, visit our website at southwestarkansasradio.com.
