Magic Springs partners with Project HOPE Food Bank for Christmas in July event
Guests encouraged to bring nonperishable food items for discounted park admission
HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — Magic Springs Theme and Water Park has partnered with Project HOPE Food Bank, a Hot Springs-based nonprofit that addresses food insecurity across Garland County, for its highly-anticipated Christmas in July event July 26.
From 6-8 p.m., guests can expect a wealth of Christmas-themed contests and games, as well as a meet-and-greet with Santa Claus and extended time in the wave pool. Magic Springs will also distribute Santa hats and Christmas sugar cookies while supplies last.
In the spirit of giving back, Magic Springs will hold “Donate for Discount” days between July 21 and August 9 to benefit Project HOPE’s School Backpack Program, which provides weekend food assistance across five Arkansas counties to children who rely on school meal programs during the week.
“With local schools starting back in August, there’s no better time to donate,” said Jessyka Hanna, general manager of Magic Springs. “We can’t wait to get in the giving spirit and celebrate Christmas in July for the first time alongside Project HOPE and our guests.”
On “Donate for Discount” days, Magic Springs will offer discounted $29.99 one-day park admission for guests who bring a nonperishable food item for donation. Additionally, season passholders who participate will receive an additional “Bring a Friend Free” ticket to use between July 21 and August 9. Preferred items include oatmeal packets, fruit and vegetable cups, nutritional bars, shelf-stable yogurts, cereal, shelf-stable milk, ravioli and spaghetti rings.
“We are honored and humbled to partner with Magic Springs for this fun, unique event,” said Becky Chote, assistant director of Project HOPE Food Bank. “The park is a beloved staple in Hot Springs, and we look forward to our continued relationship.”
Regular daily admission to Magic Springs is $59.99 plus tax on weekends for adults, $49.99 plus tax on weekdays for adults and $44.99 plus tax daily for children and seniors. Right now, guests automatically get the rest of the season free with a Fun Pass when they purchase a one-day admission ticket for $59.99. Season passes are available for as low as $79.99 when you buy four or more.
