Members of MHS fishing team competes in Bassmaster High School Open
Two members of the Murfreesboro High School fishing team competed in the Bassmaster High School Open on March 10th on Douglas Lake near Dandridge, Tennessee.
Pate Willis and Ryan Moore along with their boat captain, Robert French competed against 220 other high school teams and placed 15th with a total weight of 10.10 pounds. By finishing in the top 10 percent Willis and Moore earned a spot at the Bassmaster High School National Championships on Lake Chickamauga in August.
Willis and Moore fish local bass sanctioned trial including the Ark-La-Tex Bassmaster Trail, and the AYBN Southern Trail.
Bassmaster High School National accepts about 25 of the best high school fishing teams from Arkansas. Willis and Moore will compete against the top 500 youth anglers in the nation. There are about 13,000 youth fishing teams in America.
