Methamphetamine Discovery Leads to Arrest in Dierks

A joint operation involving the 9th West Drug Task Force, Arkansas State Police, Howard County Sheriff’s Office, and the Dierks Police Department led to the seizure of methamphetamine and the arrest of a woman at a Dierks residence.

It was reported that on January 22, 2025, law enforcement executed a search warrant at 105 Ellis Road in Dierks. During the search, Special Agents Garner and Harper reportedly discovered a glass pipe in the south bedroom of the house, next to where 58 year old Melissa Young was sitting on the bed.

The glass pipe was found to contain suspected methamphetamine. Authorities weighed the substance and confirmed it was consistent with methamphetamine. Young was immediately transported to the Howard County Sheriff’s Office for processing.

No further details have been released at this time.
