Mineral Springs City Council

Mineral Springs City Council met yesterday evening discussing a number of items. First up was an update on the current trash truck situation. The city of Mineral Springs has been borrowing a trash truck from Tollette to fulfill its trash pickup route as of lately as the Mineral Springs truck is in the shop for repairs.

A welcomed update came in regarding the truck that was ordered 2 months ago…The supplier was able to locate a truck way ahead of the previously advised July delivery date. The only hold is an electrical component for the truck that has been estimated to be in stock soon with the delivery of the Mineral Springs new trash truck being expected as soon as early December.

Chief of Police for the City, Jonathan Dykes, gave his report for the previous month stating it was a rather slow month and he was thankful for it. There was however a sexual assault case that was currently under investigation.

A representative for Premier Broadband was in attendance for the meeting answering any questions council members might have. He stated that service was expected to be complete and available by the end of the year and that for the next few weeks final testing would be underway before giving the green light. This service is for 25mb of download speed with 5 up costing approximately $55/month.
