Mineral Springs City Council Meeting
The Mineral Springs City Council held their monthly meeting this week.
Treasurer Denise Juniel reported to the council that they had a clean audit for the water and sewer department. Juniel also reported that the city general fund audit was good. The only discrepancy was the Dodge Durango, charger, old golf cart, and old zero turn was not listed in the documentation for inventory. Juniel said she is going to take pictures of these items and email them over to get the things back on track.
According to Chief of Police Francisco Mercado’s report for the month of May, his department made a total of six traffic citations and six criminal citations. They also had six offense reports and three misdemeanor arrests.
The Mineral Springs Fire Department had two drills and responded to 12 calls. For the month of May they had seven 1st responder calls, one structure fire, one vehicle accident, and three smoke alarms.
According to the statement of revenue and expenditures there was a beginning balance of $409,055.99 and an ending balance of $403,826.32. Street fund had a beginning balance of $12,969.85 and an ending balance of $14,073.83. Water and sewer had a beginning balance of $216,372.22, income for the month was $35,596.85, and total funds after expenses was $207,105.61.
