Mineral Springs City Council receives update on generator
Monday, aldermen of the Mineral Springs City Council held their regular monthly meeting.
During the meeting, there was a motion made by aldermen James Jean and seconded by Frankie Harris to take previous Mayor Vera Marks off of the banking information. All were in favor of the motion.
Also, during the meeting Mineral Springs Municipal Waterworks Water Clerk Kathy Jones explained to the council that she would like to dispose of the old Municipal Waterworks Accounting Records.
There was a motion made by aldermen Frankie Harris and seconded by Myrtis Cheathem to destroy the old Municipal Waterworks Accounting Records.
Director of Public Works Eric Marks provided an update about the generator along with making a special announcement to the council.
Chief of Police Francisco Mercado presented to the board about enforcing Code Enforcement. Mercado suggested to the council to hire someone part time for the position and that he is willing to look into policies, budgets, and requirements for someone that can fill this position.
The council informed Mercado that they will discuss this topic at the next meeting.
