Mineral Springs Council Accepts Mayor’s Resignation, Appoints Vera Marks to Serve Remainder of Term

During the regular monthly meeting Monday night, the city council in Mineral Springs accepted the resignation of Mayor Bobby Tullis.
Tullis submitted a letter of resignation, which was presented during the meeting. His resignation became effective at 5:30 p.m. on March 9, 2026.
After accepting the resignation, aldermen approved a resolution appointing Mayor Pro Tem Vera Marks to serve as mayor for the remainder of the current term.
Marks will now assume the duties of mayor and lead the city government for the rest of the term after previously serving the city council as mayor pro tem.
