Mineral Springs High School receives grant

Thursday, the Mineral Springs High School received another grant for the retail management in the amount of $24,225 dollars. Mineral Springs High School Principal JonDavid Amerson stated this will be an addition onto the other programs that they offer.

Amerson said that they offer ag classes and this year they will be foraging again to expand it even further.

Amerson added that one of their focuses is that students get exposed to different skills and trades. Secondly, he would like the students to get certifications. He mentioned that some of the students are not sure of their plans after High School, but this will give them plenty of options.

Amerson said that this school year there will be fresh faces on campus, and he discussed some of the benefits of students being a part of the Mineral Springs High School.

He concluded by expressing that career readiness is a big part of the future, and they are proud that they are getting ahead of the game.
