Mineral Springs Hornets 2024 Media Day
The Mineral Springs Hornets held their media day Saturday night at Hornet Stadium.
Head coach Jason Hathcock stated he felt his team was ready to take the next step in their progression.
Hathcock said he took over a winless team and they finished 7-4 and in third place in the conference that first season. Last season, they went 9-2, finished second in the conference and made it to the playoffs. He said he thinks this is a team that will be competing for championships this season.
This season, the Hornets will open at home against Bismarck and then play Fordyce and Quitman before opening the conference season at home against Spring Hill, who played 8-man football last season. The Hornets will play Junction City and Gurdon at home but will travel to Dierks and Murfreesboro in back-to-back weeks to close out the 2024 regular season.
