Mineral Springs hosting 1A South Regional Basketball Tournament

Mineral Springs is hosting the 1A South Regional Basketball Tournament. High School principal Jondavid Amerson stated the district won the bid from the Arkansas Activities Association by highlighting the district’s facilities and its community support.

Amerson said the Hornets are improving and they expect to make a deep run into the 1A state tournament.

Amerson mentioned several teams that he expects to be competing South Regional Tournament.

Amerson stated the district is not only excited about hosting the regional tournament, but the district is excited to show the surrounding all of the district improvements, both athletically and academically.

The 1A State Tournament will be played at Wonderview at Morrilton March 1-5and the finals will be played March 10-12.
