Mineral Springs Interim Superintendent Attends First Meeting

Last month, the Mineral Springs Board of the Education voted to hire Billy Lee of Delight as the interim superintendent for the reminder of the 2019-2020 school year on a six-month contract with a salary based on the district’s salary scale. Monday night, Lee attended his first board meeting.

Following the meeting, Lee sat down with Southwest Arkansas Radio to introduce himself to the patrons of the Mineral Springs School District.

Lee also shared his vision for the district.

Monday night, board members voted to negotiate a buyout settlement will the current superintendent, Thelma Forte. Forte was suspended with pay last summer. The district initially hired Curtis Turner to serve as the district’s interim superintendent but he resigned during the board’s regular December meeting.
