Mineral Springs Police Chief Gets to Work

Further news out of Mineral Springs as Chief of Police, Francisco Mercado, informed the city council members Monday evening that officer Nathan Cornish had stepped down as was expected to go work for the Prescott School District but would, however, remain available for part-time as needed. Taking his place is officer Eric Garner.

Chief Mercado also said that part time officer, Denver Darton, was also hired to provide weekend relief as needed.

Mercado also made known to the council members that, after discussion with the Mayor, he has decided to forego hiring for the secretary position for the police department. As such he requested that the salary pertaining to the secretary position be split amongst the Mineral Springs police departments officers but NOT to include himself.
