Mineral Springs School Board Approves Budget
The Mineral Springs School Board met in special session on Friday for a brief meeting to discuss the proposed 2019-2020 budget.
Superintendent Curtis Turner went over the projected budget with the board. Superintendent Turner informed the board that currently the district has more expenditures than revenue coming in, but that the district would be as fiscally conservative as possible. Superintendent Turner and District Treasurer, Frankie Tollett, informed the board that Christmas bonuses had been included in the projected budget for the 2019-2020 school year if the board decided they wanted to give bonuses at a later date. Superintendent Turner recommended the board approve the projected budget as presented.
A motion to approve the projected 2019-2020 school year budget as presented was made by Dorothy Vaughn and seconded by Kay Thornton. The motion passed 4-0.
