Mineral Springs School Board Approves Transfers and Salary Schedule Modifications

Recently, the Mineral Springs School Board held their regular monthly meeting where members approved student transfers and modifications to the district’s salary schedule for the upcoming school year.

During the meeting, Superintendent JonDavid Amerson presented the school choice list for the 2026-2027 school year. Amerson informed the board of one transfer to the Nashville School District, one transfer from South Pike County, and three transfers from the Nashville School District.

Board President William Dixon called for a motion to approve the transfers. Ricky Gamble made the motion to approve the one transfer to Nashville, one transfer from South Pike County, and three transfers from Nashville School District. Xavier Vaughn seconded the motion, which carried unanimously by a 6-0 vote.

K-12 Principal Stacey Gaddis also addressed the board, informing members that the master schedule for the upcoming school year has been completed and students have already received their class schedules for the 2026-2027 school year.

Later in the meeting, Superintendent Amerson presented modifications and corrections to the 2026-2027 salary schedule. President Dixon then called for a motion to approve the updated salary schedule. Ricky Gamble made the motion, and Barnado Thomas seconded it. The motion passed unanimously by a 6-0 vote.
