Mineral Springs School Board hears plan to improve test scores

The Mineral Springs School Board held their regular monthly meeting last week. 

High School Principal JonDavid Amerson presented an overview of the Mineral Springs High School ESSA scores.

Elementary Principal Ruby Dean also presented an overview of the Mineral Springs Elementary School ESSA scores.

Principal Amerson discussed what are the plans on moving forward for the rest of the school year and what will be their focus to help students get progress on scoring better on their tests.

Principal Dean stated that they are giving students tests and examining that data to see where the students stand.

Mineral Springs High School ESSA score was 57.84 and the Mineral Springs Elementary ESSA score was 55.53. Both schools received a letter grade of F.
